Aware host Dee Dee Sharp is joined in the studio by members of Atlanta's Spelman College Glee Club and its director, Dr. Kevin Johnson. This critically acclaimed women's choral ensemble, performing nationally and Internationally for over fifty years, has proudly passed down a rich legacy of story telling through a tradition of choral excellence, performing a wide range of works from deeply moving traditional spirituals to contemporary artful secular songs. Guests include Soprano Nina Danley, Alto Rajane' Brown, Soprano Kourtney Brown (a former member of the Pensacola Children's Chorus), and Dr. Johnson. The program also features performances of "Lift Every Voice And Sing", "It's My Choice", "We Are" and "Every Time I Feel The Spirit", recorded in rehearsal in WSRE's Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio.
