Providing a glimpse of midwifery in South Carolina through the 20th century, "Midwifery: Delivered with Love" features an interview with 93-year-old Josephine Matthews of Wagener, a fourth generation midwife. It also features other former midwives, such as Verola Maple of Ridgeway, Elmita Ford of Conway, Mary Johnson of St. George, and Elizabeth Gantt of Reevesville. These remarkable women proudly tell some of their experiences attending at home births before the days when community hospitals were built to serve rural areas. John Ott and Scott Lineberger are independent producers from the Columbia area, currently affiliated with Keystone Pictures. Known for their style of using authentic interviews to tell their story, they have also co-produced "Cattle Creek," "The USS Yorktown Reunion," and "Pride in Place."
