A CALL TO FREEDOM WITH THE OHIO VALLEY SYMPHONY highlights one of the great movements of American history and through narration and music of the era, tells the story of the Underground Railroad. Featuring American classics such as "America the Beautiful," "The Battle Hymn of the Republic," "When Johnny Comes Marching Home," and "Amazing Grace," the concert also shares the premiere of a commissioned piece celebrating the Underground Railroad's most famous conductor. "Harriet" focuses on the daring and courageous life Harriet Tubman led as she rescued enslaved Americans and then fought for the Union Army in the Civil War.
