Description

OSU MARCHING BAND’S FIRST BLIND MEMBER: GREG DANIEL: Becoming a member of the Ohio State Marching band takes talent, hard work and perseverance. While there are countless stories about students overcoming the odds and finding their place on the field, Greg Daniel has a story unlike any other. In 1971 he became the first blind member of the band and remained a member of the band all four years he was at Ohio State. RENDVILLE ART WORKS: Architectural historian Jeff Darbee visits a unique artist's space in Rendville, Ohio, which was at one time a thriving, mostly African American coal mining town. 4-H FOCUSES ON MENTAL HEALTH: 4-H is about more than just raising farm animals, it also boasts programming that develops life skills. 4-H Educators Jami Dellifield and Amanda Raines from The Ohio State University Extension (Hardin County) discuss how they worked together to create Your Thoughts Matter: Navigating Mental Health, a project book for teenagers with the express purpose of allowing them to discuss feelings and raise mental health awareness. CURIOUS CBUS: AVIATION PRODIGY CROMWELL DIXON: Curious Cbus digs into the local history behind aviation prodigy Cromwell Dixon, which also offers a unique glimpse into Columbus at the turn of the 20th century.
