Camp Chase: Camp Chase was a military staging and training camp established in what is now the Hilltop area, in May 1861 after the start of the American Civil War. It also included a section for use as a prison camp. Jeff Darbee attends the yearly Memorial Service held at Camp Chase to talk with one of the organizers. Camp Willis: In 1916 the development of land that would become Upper Arlington was halted and used instead as a training camp for troops to be dispatched against Pancho Villa on the Mexican border. Family members and residents tell us about the short-lived Camp Willis. Camp Sherman: Camp Sherman was built and staged as a WWI training camp.
