Restine Jackson developed a career for himself as a national gospel artist while still in his early 20s. The Detroit native first began playing piano in his father's church when he was four years old. He later expanded his musical abilities as a singer, songwriter, producer, composer, choir director, and musician. He went on to study music education at Morgan State University and perform with the secular rap group Black Nitrogen. Following his graduation, he founded and directed the gospel choir at Sherwood High School in Montgomery County, MD, and is a minister at Greater Grace Temple Church in Capitol Heights, MD.
