As Buddy travels with Annie's family, he gets to experience being a T. rex more than he's ever done. During the migration, Buddy deals with several `firsts': being away from home alone for the first time, being with another family, being on the move every day, and being homesick. Buddy and Annie bond more as they make it through the week. By the end of the week, Buddy is more adapted and glad that he experienced T. rex life a little more than he's ever done before. But he's really happy to come back to his adopted family, and has a new appreciation for them. / When Mrs. Pteranodon overhears Buddy telling his siblings what a great time he had on migration, she gets the idea to create a Pretend Migration for the kids. Tiny, Shiny, Don, and Buddy must use their senses and follow the clues to their surprise dinner at the Big Pond!

They need more observations, so they head out to the forest, where they look at the leaves more closely and notice that some of them are fresh, others are a little worn, and others are really old and crumbling. The kids also notice some of the dirt on the ground has little bits of leaves in it, and they realize that the leaves that fall on the forest floor eventually get old and go back into the soil, just like the compost that Ari's Dad makes. Snow Friend - Elinor, Ari and Olive are building a giant Snow Friend, but there isn't enough snow to finish their masterpiece. Luckily, the next day brings fresh new snow, but this snow won't stay packed at all - it just falls apart. After they go in the house to warm up, they observe some snow melt and get sticky, and they figure out a solution - warm up the snow! When they put their plan into action, the warm snow has just the right stickiness for packing. Just in time to build a super Snow Friend. Hurrah!

Rich Francis visits the Inuvialuit community of Inuvik, NWT, where he's eager to learn about the largest wild animal harvested on Turtle Island- the Beluga Whale! He will visit with Jimmy Kalinek, a local guide and hunter, and his uncle Daniel Rogers, who harvests Beluga for the community. He'll also meet Hank Rogers, an Elder who has been harvesting whale for over 60 years! He will join them for a meal of Muktuk, the whale's skin lined with the first layer of the Beluga's fat, and Kilituk, dried whale meat dipped in rendered whale fat, and learn how these staples have kept the Inuvialuit fed and warm for as long as they've been on the Beaufort Delta, and how this important food source has helped shape the culture of the Inuvialuit people. Jimmy and Daniel will take Rich out to the coastal shallows off Kendall Island, to learn the process involved in harvesting the whale, which can be as long as 18 feet. He'll also meet Jimmy and Daniel's family at their Whale Camp, as processing the whale is a job that requires many hands and is often a family endeavour. Together, they will teach Rich about the history and relevance of Beluga to the Inuvialuit of the Beaufort Delta and the process of processing this large food source. With his culinary imagination sparked by the flavours found along the Delta, Rich brings his new learnings to the firepit, inspired to create some new and exciting Beluga dishes for everyone to enjoy, including the viewers at home.
