David Robert Joseph Beckham, called "Becks," played the final game of his 20-year career in professional football (called soccer in the US and Canada) on May 18, 2013. He retired holding the appearance record for an outfield player and was the first English player to win league titles in four countries. This profile looks back at the life of the former Manchester United star, who is perhaps the most recognized footballer of his generation. Becks, we learn, had wanted to play football for as long as he could remember, but even he could not have predicted the heights to which he'd rise within the sport or the lows he would plunge to in his personal life, with rumors of affairs threatening to destroy his marriage to his wife Victoria Beckham. However, we see how Posh and Becks managed to weather the storm, moving their family when necessary, and staying fiercely loyal to one another, and to their goals.

This program presents a biographical profile of Hillary Rodham Clinton prior to her becoming the United States' 67th Secretary of State. As we see, most American First Ladies have been content to stay in the background, but Hillary Rodham Clinton proved to be as ambitious as her husband, former US President Bill Clinton. Known for her deep commitment to social issues, the outspoken, self-proclaimed feminist has never been afraid to make enemies. Her belief in a world-class education for all children, as well as a better, fairer health system, has made her a target for more conservative members of Congress who have gone as far as accusing her of socialism. We see she receives more criticism for her decision to stand by her husband during the Monica Lewinsky scandal; however, Hillary Clinton faced her detractors with her head held high and eventually won the position of Senator of New York in 2001.

Upon his return to England, he was captured and returned to jail, released due to ill health in 2009, and died in 2013. COLIN STAGG: British Police desperate to solve the murder of Rachel Nickells in 1993 set a "honeytrap" for suspect Colin Stagg. His innocence was later confirmed through DNA testing. Audrey Hepburn remains an enduring icon of elegance and taste, whether through her famous films "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Roman Holiday," and "My Fair Lady"; or through her various charities, which she supported right up until her death from colon cancer in 1993. In many ways, her story reads like a fairy tale. She was born in Brussels, Belgium, on the 4th of May, 1929, into a well-to-do family with aristocratic connections. She studied ballet before moving into acting where, seemingly overnight, the young girl from the chorus line became an award winning screen star and a worldwide sensation. As in most fairy tales, Audrey's story had a dark side. Her father left the family and her mother moved them to Holland in the early 1930s as Europe was besieged by Hitler's Germany. The horrors of war stayed with Audrey, and she used her experiences to help others in need through her charity work for UNICEF. In the end, she was as well-known for her compassion as she was for her creative spirit.
It was Montana-born Gary Cooper's horse-riding skills, countryboy looks and shy hesitancy, which created a unique screen presence. Scott, Charlton Heston, and Patricia Neal are among those appearing in this profile of one of Hollywood's greatest stars.

The very first airplanes were purely land-based. It soon became apparent that planes would need to be able to fly over water in order to transport passengers and cargo effectively. On 28th March 1910, Henri Fabre became the first person to successfully pilot a seaplane over water. Seaplane development went from strength to strength, with Seaplanes becoming the largest aircraft in the world by the end of the First World War. Seaplanes saw the dawn of the aviation industry as they could accommodate large numbers of passengers between, a cantilevered design and single engine. Seaplanes continued to be an extremely popular mode of transportation.
