Over the years, Kylie Minogue has reinvented herself to move with the times and in the process has become not only a recording artist, but also a business woman, a fashion icon, and an idol to the gay community. She credits her first change in style from "singing budgie" to sexy vamp to INXS front man Michael Hutchence, with whom she had a relationship. She took control of her career by starring in "The Delinquents" and launching a new album. She and Hutchence broke up but remained friends until his death in 1997. Once again, the press fixated on her change of image, but for Kylie the constant evolution was just a natural part of growth. Her ninth studio album saw a more mature, sultry Kylie. She also ditched boyfriend, James Gooding, for French actor Olivier Martinez. Her private life was finally coming together, but in 2005 she was shocked to learn she had breast cancer and had to focus her energies into fighting for her life. Olivia Newton John, a fellow cancer survivor, came to her defense and urged the press and public to let Kylie recover in private, and fans remained supportive. Her recovery coincided with her amicable breakup with Martinez. Kylie took steps toward a comeback by appearing onstage at one of her sister Dannii's concerts. The Boeing 787 may not look different, but according to it's manufacturers it is a revolution in air travel and will help preserve the natural resources of the planet. Similar to the Airbus A380, the plane is made from carbon-fiber reinforced plastics and aluminum glass fiber materials which are lighter and more resistant to fatigue. It is one of many planes that have been developed to reduce the carbon footprint while at the same time improving space, comfort and entertainment for passengers on long voyages.
