THE LINCOLN SCHOOL STORY is a half-hour documentary that examines the little-known fight for school desegregation led by a handful of Ohio mothers and their children in 1954. In the wake of Brown v. Board of Education, school districts nationwide were mandated to integrate. But when African American mothers in Hillsboro, Ohio, tried to enroll their children in the local, historically white schools, the school board refused to comply. Five mothers and their children took the school board to court. With Constance Baker Motley as the lead lawyer, along with help from a fledgling NAACP chapter, they started one of the nation's first civil rights marches to end school segregation. While the lawsuit wound through the courts, the mothers and children marched every day despite threats, cross burnings and job losses. They marched in sun, rain and snow for nearly two years until the mothers won their court case. Their children became the first Black students to attend a high-quality local elementary school. Their judicial victory in the Midwest inspired Black parents in communities across the country.

By 1976, it seemed America was finally on the right track. The Vietnam War and the assassinations of several important political figures were behind us. Vice President Spiro Agnew's corruption was fading from the public's memory, and the crimes of Watergate forced Nixon to resign from the presidency. Americans were ready to be normal again. A new feeling was sweeping coast to coast as people pulled together to celebrate the nation's bicentennial, and to select a new president who could help close the book on an awful decade. FEELING GOOD ABOUT AMERICA: THE 1976 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION chronicles the race between incumbent Republican President Gerald Ford and Democratic candidate and Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter, who stepped onto the national stage touting his outsider status and promising, "I'll never lie to you." The documentary explores Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon, the anti-establishment sentiment surging through the country, Carter's primary strategy in a crowded field, and the challenge to Ford by Ronald Reagan for the Republican nomination. Using a combination of archival clips and interviews, the film examines this close race and discusses how the 1976 Presidential election was the last time in which the country wasn't polarized in the manner it is today. The documentary features: historian and author Douglas Brinkley; political analyst Larry J. Sabato; journalist and political commentator Fred Barnes; Carter's National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski; and President Ford's son, Jack Ford; among many others.

The greatest clock tower in the world has undergone the most extraordinary and extensive renovation in history. Presiding over the House of Commons, Big Ben is not only the most iconic landmark on London's skyline but a timeless piece of architecture that symbolizes England's democratic heritage. Renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012, this location world-renowned selfie spot with very few people allowed to see inside the world's most famous clock tower, apart from VIPs like Michelle Obama, Prince William and Bill Gates. BIG BEN RESTORED: THE GRAND UNVEILING grants the viewer rare access to document the restoration work that took place on the iconic clock tower. The project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the social and cultural history that the world's most famous clock tower represents, while charting the extraordinary craftsmanship of the people painstakingly bringing this grand monument back to life for future generations. Anna Keay, Director of Landmark Trust, goes behind-the-scenes with Parliament's principal architect and the three clock-makers who had the challenging task of taking the gigantic mechanism apart for the first time in nearly 160 years. The program also examines the history of the clock tower and reveals how it was almost never built in the first place! Using innovative filming techniques, the film delves into the rich history of Elizabeth Tower and reveals how a dedicated team of architects, engineers, clock makers, stonemasons, scaffolders and other craftspersons bring an iconic Victorian structure expertly and imaginatively into the 21st century. Follow the footsteps of all those involved: parliamentarian clock workers that ensured the clock was dismantled and assembled back correctly; the construction workers who took extra care to preserve and restore components; and the scientists and metal workers who discovered the true color of the clock dials and cast replacements for items that were damaged beyond repair. The vibrant new details are showcased, including a refurbished belfry with recalibrated bells - looking and sounding like new. To mark the completion of the restoration of the Elizabeth Tower (named for the late Queen Elizabeth II), the final part of the series shows the progress done over six years starting from 19 December 2016 when the first works began, to the point where the main part of the works were completed, and then to when Big Ben started chiming again.
