The Emmy Award-winning "Osiyo, Voices of the Cherokee People" opens the doors to Cherokee Nation's culture, history, traditions and people. The episode features stories of Cherokee Nation citizens, including Woody Hair, a first-language Cherokee speaker and master of that Cherokee feast and gathering known as the hog fry; Stoney Stamper, author of "The Daddy Diaries" blog and the book "First Rodeo" about raising three small daughters; and Sasha Bowles, an Arkansas park interpreter who tells of the Cherokee connection to Arkansas. The episode also looks at the many stopping points for Cherokees in Indian Territory at the end of the Trail of Tears and includes a new lesson in the Cherokee language.
