The three little scientists set out to find out why, and soon learn that Olive's tree has simply entered the final stage of its life cycle. Trees go from a seed, to sprout, to sapling, to full mature tree and finally, to a wildlife tree, which is a tree that has fallen over. Even though the tree has fallen, Olive is comforted to know that it will still be around for a long time, providing a home to many creatures in the forest.

Ari learns from this and decides he doesn't need a lucky shirt to be a good soccer goalie. He needs to be comfortable and able to move around freely, just like the snake!

Rich Francis visits the Mi'kmaq community of Membertou, Nova Scotia, where he'll be introduced to a fish that excites sports fishermen as much as sustenance fishermen- the Striped Bass. Known to the Mi'kmaq as Ji'kaw, it's commonly known along the Atlantic seaboard- from the St. Lawrence to the Carolinas- as the Striper!! He will visit with Clifford Paul, a local guide, harvester and wilderness management professional, who's been fishing and eating Striper his whole life. He will join Clifford and his family for a meal of Striper filets, done up in Clifford's own double-pan technique, and learn how this food source has helped shape the culture of the Mi'kmaq people. Clifford will take Rich to the stunning beach at Point Forchu in southwest Cape Breton, to learn the process involved in harvesting the Striped Bass; line-fishing through the crashing waves of the North Atlantic shore. Clifford will teach Rich about the history and relevance of Striped Bass to the Mi'kmaq of Cape Breton and the process of harvesting this important food source. With his culinary imagination sparked by the flavours found along the Atlantic Coast, Rich brings his new learnings to the firepit, inspired to create some new and exciting Striped Bass dishes for everyone to enjoy, including the viewers at home.

We tour the urban woodlands with elder and traditional foods and medicines knowledge-keeper Dr. Rudolph Ryser. We visit the Tend, Gather, and Grow urban youth program in Wild Foods and Medicines in Olympia, Washington, building a cadre of native youth who are taking this knowledge back to their tribes. We explore the sustainable farming practices of the Squaxin Island Tribal Garden regional food security project, and partake in a delicious traditional feast with the Muckleshoot tribe. The story begins with the end of the Civil War and chronicles the flag's more than 150-year journey from the blood-soaked battlefields of Virginia to its use in American popular culture in the 1970s and 1980s, to its final removal from the South Carolina State House grounds in July 2015. Preceded by the killing of nine black parishioners at Charleston's historic Mother Emanuel AME Church by a white supremacist, the Confederate Battle flag's furling and the days and actions that led to that event could represent the final shots and battles of the American Civil War.
